New Tires Already!?!!?

We have had our 2011 since may of 2011. It has @ 9500 miles on it and our front passenger tire tread is worn already. Has anyone experienced this at such low mileage and what would cause this so prematurely? The price we have gotten on the new tires is $875/per tire....OUCH!!!

No way it's $875 per tire - you may wish to verify this.

Yes.....$875/tire, installed, balanced, and aligned....... I hope, was in shock when I got the estimate! We have a 390 Berkshire, tire size is 255/80R22.5.

Oh, a Berkshire....I was thinking along the lines of a travel trailer. I was in the wrong field on this one.

Of course these prices don't include mounting, balance, and alignment.

I'm also thinking the original tires should have lasted more than 9500 miles...if the alignment was off would we have any warning other then the premature wear? It seems to handle fine on the road....no pulling to either side.

Thank you for the price sheet....very helpful.

On rigs of that size I'm not sure you'd feel it like you would on a small car. I would expect it to pull though. At any rate, I think your wear is premature. Who could afford all new tires every 9000 miles? Jeesh.

As for the chart, all I did was do an Internet search for your tire size. You might find lower prices with which to "negotiate" with the place that quoted you $875.

We have close to 8500 miles on our 2011 390bh we bought new. All the tires still look new - front and rear. You may have an alignment issue or something else going on. Maybe look at your warranty to see if it could contribute to new tires.

BTW. My store is next to a Love's truck stop. I know some of the tire guys and the tires that fit our rigs will be close to $4-450 per tire. $800+ sounds WAY to much.
