Newbie Berkshire Owner
Hello all!
After 2 years of looking for a good used Berkshire, we finally found one in the great Pacific NW. 2014 Berkshire, one senior owner, 10K miles (only 2 trips to the national parks and delivery miles to Spokane), and the 360 HP engine! Picked it up this past Saturday and left for Phoenix on Sunday. Now we're back home and scrubbing it down to get it ready for the first trip. The trip down was uneventful but the leaves were changing colors in every state, making the trip a visual spectacle! I was running out of DEF, but stopped at a Big O tire store and they filled me up. Averaged 9.3-9.5 mpg for the trip but that was without a towed vehicle.
The right rear view mirror wouldn't hold its' position, so that was a little glitch. I tightened both sides this morning and that seemed to do the job.
Question to the owners group:
- new wiper blades are required. Should I go with stock or has anyone found a better quality blade?
I've been lurking in the background for a year or so and look forward to being an active member of this forum.

Welcome Fred. We just had a post on WB's. Someone found a 28" blade that will work. I forgot the brand. I get mine at CW. They are 32" and are the stock blades I assume. I think the 28"were considerably cheaper.

Welcome to the forums and with the rest of us Berkshire owners. I also had my drivers side mirror turn in the wind when new. They tightened it at the factory and never had any more problems.

Welcome Fred, congrats on your Berk. I haven't had to purchase wiper blades myself but when I do I think I will go with the 28" blades. Here's a tip, if you keep a good coat of RainX on the windshield you won't use your wipers as much and the bugs and road grim come off a lot easier.

Welcome to the forum. Another trick to preserve the wiper blades is to keep them out of the sun. Buy a pool noodle, cut it two inches longer than the blade, slit it down the middle and create an envelope to keep the UV rays off the wiper blade.
