Night Shade

I can not get the night shade to go down. I did a search and tried the reset. Didn't work. It will go up that's good but not down. It clicks as if the ignition safety switch is not working. Any ideas?

I figured it out. The wire on the switch was not making contact. It looked like it was but when I took it down to test the switch I found it. Privacy again.

Do you have mcd shades? If so, any issues with your drivers side window not retracting all the time when pulled and released? I'm hoping mine just needs to be broken in!

I'm not sure what brand I have. I just looked and I can't find a brand on the shade. All the shades work fine. Hope yours smooths out.

Mine does the same thing!! The driver side day/sun shade goes up just fine but the night one only goes up about half way and the I have to grab the roll up top and roll it by hand. All of the other ones work just fine, it's just that one that does that. I have a 2014 390BH and it has done that since I've owned it.

There are adjusting wheels at the end of all of the shades at the top that you can use to adjust the shade. With the shade mostly retracted, turn the wheel so that the shade goes up to its fully retracted position. It should then work fine after it is adjusted.

Refer to the MCD websight and get the instructions for adjustments. Each shade has 2 wheels. One sets maximum height and the other sets closing speed. One has a white mark to identify it. I've had to adjust mine to work better in cold weather. Its also not uncommon for the front shades to need recalibrating. I've done it twice in 18 months.
