No lights over dining table and couch area

First day out on an 8 week trip and stopped for the night only to find that the lights over the dining and living areas are out. It only seems to be the ceiling lights and the wall sconces. I could not find any fuse that was labeled for these lights but there must be one. I checked all of the outlets and they live so it so it doesn't seem to be a GFI outlet that is tripped.
Any ideas as to where to look next is appreciated.
Thanks

Tom, your lights are 12volt so GFI would not have any effect them. There should be a fuse for these 12volt light, however you might have pitched a wire that goes into you slide. Are all of your other lights working? Skip

Skip,
As far as I can tell, everything else is working. If there was something else that can be checked I would check it if I knew what what to check(I hope that makes sense - LOL!)
Thanks

Tom, you got me thinking so I went outside and checked where the fuse is for living room lights. In ours there is a fuse in cabinet outside drivers side that is labeled living room/porch light. Skip

Skip,
I saw those and looked at them. They both looked fine but I changed them anyway and it did not make any difference.
Next suggestion (LOL!!).

Tom, long shot, did you turn your salesman switch off by accident? What 12volt things work? Fans? Any lights? Trying to narrow down what you could look at. Skip

Skip,
Every thing else works except the lights in the dining room area. The ceiling lights in the bedroom work fine as well as the ceiling lights in the kitchen area and ceiling lights in the living room area.

We must have the same jinx. Our lights over the love seat are not working. Checked the fuse and all is good wall sconce and light over the sink etc work fine. I know our system is different since we have Precision Plex. I am guessing a butt connector on the line popped off like what happened over our bed. Did you take down the light closest to the switch and check if there is any voltage with a meter? I hate to say it but you might have to empty the cabinet above the lights and take up the thin plywood base to check all the wires for a break in them. The plywood is only held in with several small staples.
Let me know what you find out.
Travel safe and enjoy Disney. We are in Durango Co now.

OH goodie! Just what I want to do when we get to Disney! Do you know how the round light in the middle of the cabinet comes off?

we have the same problem with our 2010 Georgetown. We checked all fuses etc.. everything is fine. We believe as someone said previously that a line is pinched or broken somewhere in the slideout?? I asked at a motorhome repair shop and they said they would have to take the time ( at their hourly rate$$$) to find it. We just bought a small table lamp and are using that in the meanwhile.

Tom, I originally said nevermind to your OP because you said 'living room' lights and 'ceiling'.
It's now sounding like all of the lights that are out are in the slide? If you meant under cabinet instead of ceiling I'll tell you about the fuse hidden I found in our 2014 RB.

Tom
Put your palm of your hand flat on the glass and then turn counterclockwise. About 1/2 turn and they pop off. Just a bayonet type of hold on

If it was a pinched wire you would have blown a fuse. Must be a broken wire or connector.
You have had bad crimped connectors in the past (fan motor) so probably the same yahoo wired other things in your and my motorhomes LOL

I'M thinking the same thing that there is one guy responsible for a whole bunch of wiring issues on these coaches.

There must be a gremlin in my motorhome wiring. The lights over the loveseat started working again. We have not moved since it had stopped working so I am now convinced it is just a loose connection Now comes the challenge to find it.

Say hello to Mickey for us and tell him we will see him soon

I have a Sandpiper 356RL that I just fixed a similar problem in. In my case the lights in both the kitchen and dining slides were out. A single 15amp fuse fed the lights in both slides, and it would blow as soon as it was inserted. After much diagnosis we traced the problem to a shorted wire running from a connector outside to the lights in the dining slide. I had to run a new wire from the outside connector to the first light in the slide to correct the problem. Everything now works fine. I'm no expert, but I thought I'd add my story for your consideration. I can give you more detail if needed. Good luck! Wilf

Lights and Butt Splices

I think there is one guy who either has very weak hands or isn't using the right tools, but loose butt splices seem to be an issue all around. When you go to attach the white wire to the battery and the connector falls off, hmm, that would have been fun down the road.

Had Same issue with our 2015 Georgetown when new. Operating slide would blow fuse for dinette light and wall sconces. Turn out a staple was put through wire. Repaired but never said location of issue. On a long trip we had to pull fuse for lights before operating slide. Then reinsert fuse after slide was open. Then pulled when closing slide. Yahoo! That was fun until fixed. Concur with others it s a wiring issue
