Rich, aren't you wounded? Knock it off before you muck up the surgery!

GasMan thank you
Yes, I did check that one. The jacks work fine too.
Thank you for looking.

Kenny

If I am correct the slide relay needs to pass +12v to slide control when ignition is off and break the connection or pass ground when ignition is on. We could verify and hopefully isolate if the problem is before the relay or after. Attached I have marked the relay pin out as I believe it should be wired. Just a guess. From the part number you provided it is a five pin part. I have marked the voltages you should find on the parts. I am assuming coil voltage is present only when ignition is on. First verify this. Then verify voltages on other pins as I have marked them. Test at socket with relay removed. Let me know what you find. We will go from there depending on results.

I thought his AC was working. It is the slide power that is gone.

Kenny, Did you measure any voltages on the relay socket? Trying to determine where your power loss is. Have you decided to go to dealer instead?

Silver:

I was really hoping Randy was going to respond to my email, but I'm guessing things must be too busy there now.

I did go out and pulled the relay up just enough so I could put the meter probes on the blades from the relay, but I'm not sure if I pulled it up too high, because I didn't get anything from any of the blades. And to top it off, the battery on the meter starts flashing it's gone.

I did look at a downloaded manual (I think it's for mine), and it gave three possible problems when the slides would not work and no sound was made: 1-Battery, 2-fuse, and 3-Controller Board.

In frustration, I closed it up, and dug out the extended warranty from Good Sam. Going to stop at the local dealer and see if he will send someone to the house under that warranty.

I had really hoped to have the cover on it by this time.

Thanks for checking back....

Ken

Hi Kenny,

Pull the relay right out to make the measurements. Let me know what you get. Do it with key on and off.

Kenny
I was looking at a schematic the other day and can't locate it again. But as a suggestion, have you check the IGN1 and IGN2 fuses?
