We will be doing the Tetons and Yellowstone plus Mt Rushmore and much, much more beginning July 2 but we are taking two months to "get er done"....

HA!! Try this one..... When I was around 28-30 did 4000 miles in 10 days.... On a Honda 750 motorcycle.

Seriously, going without much of a plan is (IMHO) the best way to go... no schedules make it more relaxing.
We did it last summer, but that work camper gig in Durango, CO upset our psychological clocks so badly is pretty much screwed up the rest of the summer.
This year much better.... The karma gods are more friendly. We always say we go where ever the wind blows us; but mostly cool in the summer and warm in the winter......
Not that Yosemite is very cool right now, but better than Phoenix or Yuma.
We came to Yosemite area expecting to stay at most 3-4 weeks. Now we may be here until the end of September. Talk about planning "on the fly"....
