Outdoor propane connection

Hello all, I am assuming our outdoor quick disconnect propane connection is after the reducer, right? Also, does anyone know the size of that connection? The one I had on my 5th wheel was 3/8ths and this one is smaller. Thanks.

1/4" NPT, it's after the regulator.

Hi Dan. Looking to connect my Weber-Q. I found your older post about it after I posted this question and it helped a lot. One thing I did notice in your pictures is that it looked like you are still using the Weber regulator on your hook up. On my 5th wheel I was not using the Weber regulator because I connected to the quick disconnect after the on board regulator on the 5th wheel and it worked well. Not sure what the difference is. i would like to stay with my 3/8 quick disconnect because that is what I have on my portable fire pit as well. Looks like I need to find a quick disconnect to replace the female one on the Berk. -Glenn

Glenn, I think if you read my old post closer you will see that I do not use the regulator when connected to the motor home. But have the option to snap the regulator back on and use a one pound bottle.

I assumed that motor home Quick Connect we're all the same size. Didn't know that there was a 3/8.

I got a Outland fire bowl a week or so ago and have ordered the parts to make it connect up. It does have a 3/8 flare fitting on the fire bowl end.

Thanks Dan. I just saw the regulator in the picture but didn't realize it was there in case you did want to use a bottle as another option. The 3/8 connection is from a setup I bought through Amazon for both our fire pit and the grill. I think it is made mostly for folks to hook up to natural gas out side at their "sticks and bricks". My 5th wheel did not have an outside propane connection, so I was starting from scratch and have to t-off the existing propane line on the trailer. I will try to make those male connections work on the Berk, but it will be another trip to Home Depot or Lowes playing with adapters and connections. The last time I did this I sat on the floor in the plumbing section trying to find the right connections (quite a site to see I am sure). -Glenn
