Hi Ernest~

Thanks so much for speaking with Ed. He enjoyed the chat too.

How much height did you need for this? Our compartment opening is 23 inches across and it looks pretty square to me, I think.

23" will work IF you get the slide deck as low as you can...

Ernest917,

Could you post the company website or phone number of where you purchased the slide rails and what length of rail did you buy?

Oy, I sure hope I measured the compartment properly. Your compartment looks so much bigger than mine.

Tonk Mom...

My compartment is an entire basement area.... The only space issue I had was making sure I had the clearance, top and bottom, to allow it to slide in and out.... Without seeing an actual picture of the compartment, inside and out, you plan on using, I can't really tell what issues you might have....

csichoice....

I found my slides in the classified section of a MH magazine issue for $100.... I have found numerous sources through google that sell the slides only but they are more expensive ... As I stated in an earlier post, my investment $100 for the slides, $125 for all materials and a tad over $500 for ref/freezer unit... I'm sure I saved tons by doing all the labor myself which took approx 5 hrs including construction/installation of slide and AC/DC wiring for unit....

My slides are heavy steel units made up of three 48" long telescoping pieces that when fully extended are 94" long. They have a 400 lb carrying capacity....

When fully extended , the ref slides clear of the open MH kitchen slide above it...

Ernest, will you please post a photo of the slides I need to buy so that I can start shoppping around? You said you saw some on line, but were pricey. That will let me know what I need to buy.

Thanks yet again.
