Replaced cable on wardrobe slide

I attempted three previous times to include multiple photos. $30 for the cable kit and $25 for the crimping tool, along with 2 hours time.

2 hours!! Man, you're good! Took me a lot longer to change the cable on my '08 Berkshire. I guess that you are a lot younger and more agile than I am (LOL!!).
Great work!

This was my second time and the cable was still connected. A broken cable is much more complex. Did you use the bal website video as reference?

Looks like you got it figured out. We have not had any issues. If I do I just slide thru Kingwood and have a pro fix it for me.

King,
Yes, I looked at the video and YES, my cable had broken off and the broken end went inside the slide and I was not able to use the nylon 'finger' to hold the new and old cable together. I had to find a way to manually fish the new cable through the pulley system. Not an easy task but after many hours I was finally able to do it.

Nice Job,
It is so much easier if you did not pull the broken cable through before attaching the new one. The trim work (remove and replace) is the only real problem as I see it.
GOOD LUCK

When I replaced the snapped cable on my previous Damon, I had help from my daughter's little fingers to thread the cable through the pulleys. It was father-daughter team building

Haven't had one wear or brake on me yet, but I am sure that day is coming. Sure would like to see FR eliminate them in future models. Not many, if any, manufacturers use them today. I consider the cables and the Girard water heater the two biggest liabilities on the Berkshire. Otherwise, it is a great coach for the money.
