Hahahahaha, that old remote looks like you had to really pound on it to get it to work. Nice upgrade.

yes, our coach came with the ME-RC and I couldn't imagine having only the simplified 'other' version... as the ME-RC gives you so much more information, control, and troubleshooting data - including the AGS setup, Fault codes, and even internal inverter Temperatures, as well as the normal DC Volts for battery levels.

Earnest - I read the operations manual this past summer and was blown away with the settings and information it presents. I changed some of settings immediately.

I did also..... I find it interesting to be able to see how many amps I'm using at any given time..... I most likely will be adding the AGS feature to my system this Spring because I see it

Not so fast.. .. The amps you are seeing are the amps the INVERTER is using.... Interior/exterior lighting, furnace blower etc are in addition to that.
In order to see ALL the amps you are using you need to add a BMK... Battery monitor kit, which will ADD this data to the remote.... Good news is that it is (almost) plug and play.
Read about it (and a lot of other info on your 12V system) here: https://dragonship.blog/battery-monitoring-kit/

Oscar, That's something I've thought about doing. Our rigs are practically identical. I'm not an electrician but can follow instructions so how much time to do this install?

If you have it all ready to go (including tools) a few hours. I took my time and spent about 4, including playing around with it after it was hooked up.

Installed Yourself?
I too have have the old model, that really tells me nothing. Ended up having to replace inverter last year -- maybe age related, since my coach is 2011, or a surge (something "fried" a hookup) -- and also got a Hughes power conditioner/surge protector. I like the idea of having some real information from he newer model.
Did you did the install yourself? If so, was it difficult?

Simple install..... just need to enlarge hole in wall then simply plug it in and it automatically downloads info...
You’ll need to tweak a couple of the setting but no big deal..
