Replacement Drawer latches - 2013 Berkshire

I picked some of these up at an RV store some years back, but can't find them again. Anyone have a part number for these drawer latches from BRD Supply?

Better yet, a suggestion for a resilient & reliable alternative as these things don't really last.

Thanks,
Larry

We went with the child safety latches, easy to install and easy to operate. they can be found at any hardware store.

We replaced ours with a better quality set from a hardware store. Took the worn out ones along to make sure the holes would align. Even the store carried two or three levels of quality it seemed.

Great idea. Going to pick up some of those 'magnetic' release ones.

Thanks.

That time of the year again and I'm ready to replace several more broken latches. I found a reference on the "Wheelingit" 2012blog about all metal adjustable tension ball latch: https://wheelingit.us/2012/11/24/eas...rawer-latches/

I found a vendor that has several sizes of these brass latches on line. Price is comparable to plastic parts. Although not a direct replacement, I will be ordering several to give them a try.

Talking

I'll give you mine. Brand new camper and it broke second trip. It's the only one in the whole darned thing. All of the others are the 'pinch clamp' style. Go figure.

Universal brand. Part number #H316 push latch by RV Design. Not cheap for a couple of plastic it seems to me. Found them at an rv place in Laughlin and they wanted $15.95 there for them. I’m certain they can be had for less. Three other places checked along the way didn’t carry them.

THANKS for sharing! We are only 6 mos old (our 2018 Sunseeker) & have already had to have dealer replace TWO drawer latches! I've already printed the article & will SAVE it, for when we need to replace the next ones. Cheers!

These are called “Grabber Latches”. You can find good quality latches on Amazon. FR uses cheap Chinese versions that don’t work. Get the Southco 10 lb - 44 newton variety.

Forest River Diesel uses the Southco. They have them available.

Look on Amazon, they have sellers offering 4, 6, or 8 packs of them far less expensive than one at a time. I'm not a fan of these latches since they don't hold up, however when they work they do a pretty good job of keeping drawers closed on the road
