It's always been a bit scary to watch it go in and out; it tips inward and looks like it's just going to fall into the coach!

Boo I creak and groan more does that count lol. The only slides that dealer/FR put plates on our 40-RB is the kitchen. A lot of weight in that area is what I was told was there reason.

Thanks, Wayne..... I'll investigate putting plates under my kitchen slide.
Phil, have you had this done; our coaches are like 6 S/N's apart, IIRC.

Wayne: I am not sure where plates would go on the kitchen slide. The two front slides are hydraulic and slide on rails. Only the rear passenger slide's bottom rolls on rollers. Here is a pic of my plates.
Boo, you can also see the rubber lip seat that was installed in place of the compression seal. - Hank

Wayne, I am not up with the new models, but my 2012 and Boo's is the same. Did your front slide come with plates installed or has FR figured out a more solid design?

Boo I don't have plates on mine. Randy looked at them and said it was not a issue on mine. My kitchen slide makes all the sounds and it also looks like it could just fall out when I'm opening it. I pay special attention to it when doing my PM.

Ken - Your pics are similar to mine (post #23). It looks like your plates are on the rear slide, is that correct. You and Wayne have newer units and he says that he also has plates on the front kitchen slide; do you?
Boo and I have hydraulic slides on the front, not needing plates.

If you are meaning the rubber flap in my pictures, it was installed by the dealer that yanked out the mangled compression seal. I installed the plates myself. - Hank

Hank yes Mike at FR determined the kitchen side had rollers and needed the plates.

Looks like the Darco wrap junk is under your slides. Big issue with the PrimeTime units. Some of the guys who posted on the " Slide out /Underside wearing" by Platokidd post have come up with their own fix.

There is at least one roller under my kitchen slide INSIDE the coach.
I'm going to crawl into the cargo bay and see if the support frame (made by Eq Sys, I think) could use some sort lubrication on the telescoping rails.
Seems like a metal-on-metal sliding rail should certainly have grease or something on it for lubrication. I know there are Zerk fittings on the timing shaft bearings, but that's all I've seen.
Boowho??
