Safe travels to my Berkshire friends

After four years with our Berkshire, we determined the limited number of times each year we're able to get her out and exercised are not enough to keep up with all the little maintenance annoyances that pop up with a coach that sits too much of its life.

We don't want to give up our excursions completely, so we've decided to go the 5th wheel route. As we begin that transition, I wanted to tell the group, especially ERNEST917 (who has my sister coach), thank you so very much. Through the years, the amount of time and attention you good folks have paid to my questions and issues, was considerable. For the advice, instructions, directions and well wishes, I'm greatful. This is an amazing group - I've appreciated being part of it.

Take care all - and SAFE TRAVELS.

JBoyer,

I'm sort of new here but Good Luck on your future endeavors.

I did notice that you have a 2015 Nissan frontier. Are they a problem to tow 4 dwn ? Is there a transfer case that you can put into Neutral ? Trying to find alternatives to a Jeep.
Thanks.

Come back and visit JB, don't be a stranger.

Joe, there is no substitute for a Jeep.

Sorry to hear that JB and wish you the best. What 5er did you get? Or are you still looking?

Mitch,
We bought the Frontier based on recommendations from some friends. We did verify that you could tow it 4 down - with transfer case in 4H, there is no neutral. We never actually towed the Frontier. We decided to sell the Berkshire shortly after buying the truck.

Thank you Phil. We have ordered a 2016 Landmark 365 Newport. We are excited. We loved our Berkshire but will feel more relaxed leaving a 5th wheel sitting for 6 months over the Winter vs. the Berk.

Our good friends bought a 2015 Landmark and I am very impressed with it. It's a very well built trailer and the floor plan if perfect. Congrats and enjoy.

JBoyer,

Sorry to see you give up the Berkshire. You have been a help to me more than a couple of times. I wish you luck with the new adventure, just think of all the new modifications you will make.

GOOD LUCK

Phil - we looked at so many 5th wheels, I lost count - but we didn't look at another one after we found the Landmark Newport. I agree with you. They seem well made and we both love the floor plan. The upper bathroom is simply amazing. Thanks again!

Ernest -
We sold the Berkshire the second day it hit RV Trader and I've gotten 100 emails since. The Berk has a following out there for sure! As far as the Mini, we sold it specifically as a TOAD. A nice fella drove all the way from Austin to pick her up.
We do hope to cross paths one day - in the meantime, our best to Tommie!
