Screw up

I have my Berk parked in its spot next to my house.... Guess what happens when you turn on your water pump so you can flush the toilet, leave it on and not realize that the faucet at the kitchen sink was slightly on... Guess what you discover two days later.... SOAKED CARPET!!!! Good grief !!!! Took lots of time/effort to correct that mess.... Thank goodness for a HUGE shop fan... Run that sucker non-stop for two days and it WILL dry everything out.... Lesson learned!!!

This is something I would blame on the DW, Dog, Cat, Bird, not me!

Ouch !

I make sure all sink stops are out when left unattended .

Stick a dehumidifier in there to be sure !

Wouldn't have made any difference about the sink stop... I had the sink covers in place so it just hit that and had no where to go but the floor...

Have you tried your pump? Mine leaked, emptied the FW tank and burnt the pump up.

Pump still works.... Got lucky there I guess.... Going to shampoo the carpet this weekend ( as if I haven't had enough water on it)

I did something close to that the first long trip with ours. We used the washer and I went out to open the gray water drain and I must have closed it again some how. I'll plead stupid. In case you wondered where the water backs up its from the shower. I can move real fast when I need to. Not to bad a mess. It helped that the MH was almost new and my wife saw it happen and grabbed the towels and started yelling. A dehumidifier works very good at drying the MH out. No damage and nothing but a learning experience.

I'll admit this just once. Happened on my previous motor-home.

Never, never, never allow yourself to get distracted when doing a black tank flush. I had been flushing the black tank for about 10 minutes and decided I would close the valve for a few minutes to build up some water in the tank so I could get a good final purge of the tank.

About the time I shut the valve the wife asked me to help her with something inside the coach. No problem since I was going to let it fill for a few minutes anyways. Never gave the power flush another thought until 10 minutes later when I hear a rush of air coming from the bathroom toilet. The water was just starting to come up in the bottom of the bowl. I got it stopped just as the water got to the top of the bowl.

I sure did get lucky on that one. Another 20 sec and I would have had black water all over the floor of the coach.

Wow that would be nasty! There is a lot of ways to screw up a simple job.
I have learned to keep my simple mind on the job(I hope).
