Seeking Recommendation for Power Sun Shade

Looking for a powered sun shade kit for my 2008 Berk. I have a two piece windshield, but would prefer a single piece shade...

Would love to hear what you have or have done to yours.

Mark...

non-powered sun screen

We just made ours. Not powered but works good. We made them for all windows and are held in place with snaps. Picture shows left off, right on. Was way cheeper than buying some.

Very Nice! I'm thinking of something I can lower to block the sun on those morning and afternoons when the sun is low in the sky...so I wanted something (could live with unpowered) that could be pulled down "some" to kill the sun while driving.

Power Sun Shades

My 08 had 2 power shades. One broke about 3 years ago and Andy Thompson was able to locate a replacement for me. Try him at FR athompson@forestriverinc.com
GOOD LUCK

NO3Putt, could you send me a picture of how yours are installed? It would greatly help me visualize how they did it...

Thanks!

Mark,

They are made by Carefree and are mounted approximatly 2" from the track for the curtians. Looks like they are held in place by 4 screws, two at each end. Would guess they ran the wires down the drivers side cornor panel and over to the buttons in the center console.

Thanks Skip!!! This is really helpful. I think I can handle that install. Last question, can you measure the width of the case and the width of the curtain (just to be sure). I know Carefree says the curtain is 2" narrower if my memory serves...just like to make things look "standard" when I do them.

Mark,
The overall length is 40" and the case is 2" wide. They are mounted 2 1/2 " from the track for the curtian allowing for room for the curtian to close behind them, think I would allow for 3", just a bit more space.
