Self levelers.
Can you re level with the jacks down? I seem to have some creep when sitting for a week or so and I get some bounce. I guess I could try but don't want to mess up the slides.

Thats odd - I thought Berkies had auto levelers that actually slightly lifted the wheels off the ground

Bob they do have self levelers but are not designed to lift the wheels off the ground. What is happening to mine is one or to seem two leak down and allow the coach to rock and move after a day or two. Not always but that's why I wondered is I can re auto level with the slides out.

Mine does the same thing...... I always re-level with the slides out. Sometimes mine will drift down in just a few hours.
I'm not happy that the levelers do this; getting it working correctly is high on my list of things to fix on my Berk. I've heard that air in the system can cause this, and I definitely KNOW I have some air.

Thanks Bill I thought I could but that's a lot of weight hanging out there and didn't want to mess anything up. Going to Elkhart next week and hope to get some answers on the leak down.

More than likely you have a leaking cylinder piston seal or system valve.
Lippert systems amongst the few positives return oil on retract stokes to the open tank where air is liberated. Check around for viscosity improvers help slow the leak.

I think most of us with the Lippert system have the same issue. The problem is it only happens every third or forth time.

Our stays pretty level even for weeks at a time, just some times using auto level not always as level as we want, then just a tap to adjust. Then again DW pretty darn good a picking out level spots for us to park

Mine does the same thing, just like yours, not always. I was also wondering if I could just hit the auto level button to pressure the system back up. I was always worried if I did that it would retract then re level so I never tried it.

On ours, pressing the level button after the system has completed and shows the jacks extended, accomplishes nothing. The system seems to prevent you from attempting to do this. The only way i can relevel is to press the retract button then repress the level button. It's a PITA. The power gear in my old coach would simply level from its current position and was much easier to manage.

I wonder if retracting each or just a couple of the jacks manually or individually just a inch or two, then hitting the auto level button would do any good?
I'll do some experimenting today, I'm back home from our trip and will try a few different methods and will report back on what happens.

Think its computer system wants to start with retracted jack, extend each till contact, then extend in pares till level. No way to part retract select jacks as the system would be in immediate frame twist.

I'm not willing to do that with the slides out. I'm not sure if the system will allow it but if I need to re level I'll pull the slides in first.

OK I did some experimenting today. Yesterday was raining cats and dogs.
I have a pretty level driveway so I wasn't too concerned about having the slides in or out. But I did start with the slides in.
First I hit the auto-level, let the coach do it's thing, and of course no knocking or noises. I pushed the buttons for individual jacks and got the coach out of level but still sitting on the jacks. I tried hitting the auto-level button, the only thing that happened was a beep and the system did NOT try to correct being out of level. I had to push retract all, then auto-level to get it to work.
I did the same sequence with the slides out and got the same results. I did learn that the leveling system can operate with the slides out. It handled it without any issues. I don't think I would attempt it on a pad that is not very level though.

How much bounce did you get from the slides? Is there a risk to over stressing the slides? Thanks for checking.
