Is there enough room in the wet bay to store the 3" hose?

Many owners fit a 4" plastic pipe or plastic fence post under RV for hose storage. Water is corrosive and will ruin inside of bumpers, best kept segregated away from outside compartments.

I have the screw ends on a 10 foot hose and still manage to serpentine it in the bay and close the door. Berk did not plan well for sewer hose storage.

Don't think a Berkshire has a square tube bumper as it is a motorhome.

I think I'm going to go with a Sanicon due to the lack of space.

On my 2011 there is a square opening that will hold a short sewer pipe. I store mine in a plastic bin.

X2! If you have a little longer sewer hose you will find it hard to get it into the storage hole. I too bought a plastic, covered storage bin for the hose.

I carry three 10' lengths of sewer hose in a closed plastic container in the bays under the rig. The hoses can be cleaned up before I store them and we disinfect the storage container when we come home. It has always worked well for us and it keeps the hoses closed and away from anything important.

I have a clear plastic with 3-10' sections and the fittings too...stored in the compartment nearest the wet bay. I keep a cheap emergency 3" hose in that crummy little hole.

I do the same with just a small new cheap emergency hose in the crummy little storage hole. My longer hoses and fittings I keep stored in a plastic pet food storage bin that has a spin on airtight lid so my storage area in the bay next to the water panel wont ever develop an odor from a loose lid. Just wash the bin out once in a while at home.

If you look in the compartment in the wet bay for the hose. You will notice it goes up about two feet. If you feel courageous you can enlarge the small opening that comes with it from Forrest river. I took a metal saw and opened up the opening about 6". I taped off the area and then sanded and painted to new cut metal. Now I can put a sewer hose and the fittings in with no problem. The space is there the access from the factory is not.

I have the same opening with a rubber plug. I removed the plug and was able to fit my sewer hose and the caps I use to seal it in the opening. Put the rubber plug back in and I'm good to go.

I installed a RV macerator pump so I do not have to use the 3” hose. Just pull the hose out that is a little bigger then a garden hose turn the valve on at the end of the hose.
