Sirius Radio set-up

I have a Jensen VR209TP radio in my Berkshire. Sirius has a free promotion on right now and I am trying to take advantage of it.

The "selection" option for satellite radio is not highlighted for my selection, like the AM/FM or CD options.

How do I find out the serial # for the radio so I can activate it?

I dont have one, but from my experience with car audio....

If its SiriusXM radio "ready", you may need to get this...

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00NJT...N8NF41QPYSJR70

that will have the radio id, not the headunit.

Im not 100% sure if that one will work, but hope i helped a little

Had a similar radio in my StarCraft. Searched online and found this:
Activating Sirius Satellite Radio Before you listen to Sirius Radio, you must subscribe to the service using your radio's identification number. To display the Radio ID, touch the TUNE + or TUNE - button to access channel “000”. The screen displays "Radio ID" followed by a 12 figure ID number.

If the Sirius selection is greyed out, maybe you do not have the tuner/antenna?

You would have to purchase a Sirius tuner in order to get satellite radio. I had to do this when I had my '08. You would then need to hook up the Sirius tuner to the aux inputs for the radio. You would of course need to get power to the new tuner and position the antenna. I found that I got very spotty reception when travelling because I just put the antenna on the dash near the windshield. Also, I felt that it was not worth the extra money for something I only used a few months each year so I purchased an Ipod which I have been using for the past several years.

This may be the tuner you need, and they don't make them any longer. Mine quit on my radio, and I don't know if it's the radio or the tuner

Amazon.com: SIRIUS SCC1 Connect Universal Tuner: Electronics

Sadly, this will not work, you need the one Gasman linked to… they originally retailed for about $69 but they have been discontinued for a while so it's like a danged collector's item. I snagged one for my 2014 right before they were out of stock at iBoats.com.

This is what is did on mine...
Copied from my post last year.

My coach came from the factory with a Jensen JRV212TB I phoned the the company who supplies these units to the RV manufactures and spoke with customer service. I had two options: 1) Install the SCC1 tuner (but this is no longer produced and expensive via Ebay for a used one OR 2) Purchase a SCVDOC1 docking station and the Sirius Stratus 7 controller. All components were purchased from Crutchfield with FREE shipping. When the SCVDOC1 is plugged into the back the Jensen it will use the Stratus 7 as a slave unit thus I will be able to control the Sat radio thru the original head unit. I will be able to tuck these components under the dash and be clutter free!
