Sirius Satellite Radio

Advice on how you added Sattelite Radio. We have a 2012 390bh.

You need to get a satellite receiver and subscription. You then have the output of the receiver go into the aux of the radio. If you pull up the center panel on the dash you will see wires from the radio. You hook the sat output into those wires.

If you already have it with another vehicle, download the app on your phone or tablet and put it through your front input. I use it that way while traveling, beats another subscription.

Hardest part is finding a suitable position for the sat antenna so you can get a great signal....

Have mine placed inside top middle of front windshield and signal is hit or miss....

I just have mine laying on middle of dash up against window. I generally get a good signal there.

We purchased this unit "Onyx EZ with Vehicle Kit & Portable Speaker Dock SD2." The tuner/receiver fits into the front. My wife did not like cables hanging down in front of the fireplace. This unit is portable, put outside on the table, take to beach, on the boat, parties, wherever. Runs on 110/12 volt.

I have had sat radio for years and have it up a few months ago. I got sick of the same music over and over. I use Pandora now and so far I do not mis the Sat radio at all. I do need to plug into the front and that leave a wire hanging. Is there a way to use BT on our radios? I have a 2011 so it's old technology. Any ideas. Oh and it's free!

I have my antenna placed in the top left above the decorative panel at the top of the winshield.

I also bought a small Sirus receiver (portable style) and use that as the slave and the in dash radio controls all the features.

I added a Sirius rx from ebay and the larger round antenna on the dash center. My last coach was like this for 6 years. i always had problems Nbound in Florida, and I still do today with mine. But Southbound the signal strength has always been better. Go figure

I am curious - when you use Sirius (or pandora or whatever) what sort of data usage are you guys experiencing?

Very little. I can't give you exact MB but it doesn't effect my data plan.
