SIriusXM Radio for Magnadyne M10

I have been doing some research so we can set up XM Radio in our 2018 34QS, so I figured I would share what I have figured out so far. Under the dash access, you will find a black cable with a cover on the end and the cable is labeled XM Radio. You will need to purchase a SIriusXM SXV300V1 tuner kit. You can buy one from XM on their website for $69.95 or you can get one on Amazon for $40.49 if you have Amazon Prime. There is a lot of open space behind the radio to mount the tuner and then you have easy access to run the antenna.

I ordered one today and won't be able to install it for a couple of weeks, but I wanted to at least share what I figured out.

I'll post pictures and comments about the install when I get it done this month.

FYI, my 2019 XL 40C already had the Sirius antenna pre-installed up on the roof. You just need to get the tuner kit and connect it to the radio on one end and the pre-installed antenna cable on the other. Very simple.

Sorry, I took a long time to get around to doing this project. Pretty simple. Plug the unit into the cable on the back of the radio and run the antenna. All I did was set the antenna on the dash. I can run the antenna wire under and over to the side window, but I'm going to see how reception is as installed first.Click image for larger version

Other option

First off, let me say Oscar's solution is the best.

You might have better luck than me due to location. I am in New Brunswick, and the signal was dropped approximately 10 % of the time with the antenna located where you show it.

So I re-routed the black puck to the roof, by going up the slide seal behind the driver's seat. Once I got it to the roof, I stuck it on the metal plate next to my dish. Some gorilla tape to keep with wire from flapping in the wind, and all is good. Not the prettiest install, but definitely functional.

Now I get reception 100 % of the time while on road.

I can't believe that a 2018 Berkshire doesn't come with a fully functioning XM radio from the factory.

The 2019’s have the antenna installed from the factory. Still need the XM module.

Boggles my mind too... Less than $100 for them to easily install it.... And they could have the trial deal with Sirius/XM.....

Now we're ALL putting time and effort in to making this work.

Even worse, you can buy the antenna for $29.00 or you can buy the receiver module that includes the antenna for $ 49.00

I was giving them credit for an hour of assembly time which is probably too much when they're running all the cables anyways.....

Depending on your radio, xm set up is no longer required if you have Blue tooth. All that is needed is to get steaming from XM to listen to anything that you subscribe to. Very easy for adding 5.00 bucks to your contract for a year, works great no new antenna or radio head needed, works great if you have Blue tooth on your recivier
