Glad you made it home with few problems...

Any idea what caused the first cable to let go?

Not sure where your cable broke or why, but when you it repaired, make sure on the outside that the cable go through their holes without rubbing. There is adjustment in the attachment.

slide cable broke

I see this was on a full wall slide. I have cables on my bunk/wardrobe slide. I have replaced 2 cables. I think I posted pics from last summer. I bought the cable on eBay. It was about a 2 hour job and accuslide has a great repair video on YouTube. As previously stated, rubbing of a misaligned cable causes failure. Good luck

Hi Silver.....I looked at your attachment and realize that I possess two "slide locks" I always thought they were to stop the pocket doors in the coach from sliding closed!!! Duh lol.

Please explain to me "how" they would be installed to prevent a cableless slide from extending while driving....

How did you guys make out with your slide and the cables? Did it go back to the factory or the dealer handle it. Update.

Jim: I too live in NJ, but am now down in FL snow-birding. Have you checked with Risco in Farmingdale, NJ, to see if they can handle it.

I have seen previous post where some owners have done it themselves and have see some great videos from Accuslide. However, with the weather their in NJ now, I can see where you might want someone else do it. Good Luck
Hank
