Was that on their wardrobe slide for the bed slide?

You are more then likely talking about the bed slide, Almost everyone has problems with that slide. It has happened multiple times to me.

If the bed slide is your problems, see the most recent thread on it at:

Found this under my bed????

Really wierd contraption. Rack is basically suspended above the gear drive. I had to take guide bolt with guide wheels off so rack would drop back down on gear. It worked and it stayed in for a 13 hour marathon leg home. It was nerve racking having to hold my breathe on each right hand turn.

Please read all of the referenced post and its references.

The problem is that the motor's gear housing, held in place by four bolts, drops down and away from the rack. You should not have taken the rollers off. You need to raise the gear housing and tighten the bolts without stripping the threads of the soft gear housing. "Silver" reported to me that his mod. works and I hope mine does as well, with the block of wood.

Terrilegacy , You might want to continue your post on the other thread, to keep the bed slide problem there.

Update

I finally received the driveshaft in the mail. Cost was about $8. I was hoping I could easily slide it in as easy as it was to pull out the old one. No luck.

So I had to loosen the pulley chains, remove one bolt from the gearbox, rotate it, insert the drive shaft, then reverse the process. Total time was a couple of hours. Not too bad, but hoping it won't happen again any time soon.

(But I did buy 2 just in case.)

Good luck out there.

Happy to hear that even though it took longer than expected, you got your slide motor repaired and are back on the road. Hope the repair hold up for you and you don't need to go through that again.
