Sliding Cargo Trays

Fellow Berkshire Owners,
I'm looking to install a MORryde sliding cargo tray in the pass thru on my 2008 360 QS. The opening lip stands about 2.25 inches tall while the MORryde depth dimension is 1.57 inches. Has anyone done this installation and if so what did you use for a spacer block? Also, was there any problem or interference with the two stiffeners that go across the compartment floor? Because the dimension between the gas pistons on the doors is 72 inches I am not sure what size or sizes of slides to look at. The 90 inch depth is fine but the largest width in the MORryde sliding tray listings is 52 inches. There are various other widths available so I could mix and match but I think I would rather just use 1 or 2 slides at the most. One thing I really need to define is the max dimension of the widths, are the given inches the outside or is it taken from some other location?
Any help or input would be appreciated.

The MorRide tray advertised as 30" is actually 32 and 3/4 inches at the absolute widest point. I have one of those and one of the Ez-Glide trays; the EZ-Glide was installed by FR at manufacture.

You will need to raise the trays on stringers of some sort to support the trays high enough so the slide can clear the door lip. The existing stiffeners posed no problem at all.

I plan on replacing the EZ with another MorRyde soon. The EZ-Glide is crap.

Assuming your openings are the same as on my 2011 390RB two of the 30" MorRydes should be no problem at all.

I used 2X4's and it raised it to exact height needed..... Bolted then thru floor - rear bolt actually went through tube brace under floor.... Solid as a rock....

Thanks for some great information. If the units are all 2-3/4 inches strong at the widest point it looks like I can fit two of the 33 x 90 inch (or one 33 x 90 and one 29 x 90) slides in my 72 inch opening and still have a 1/2 inch or 4-1/2 inches to spare. I think I would rather do this than have one giant tray. I will firm up the final dimensions with a contact I made at MorRyde (Jack.Enfield@morryde.com). That is who I got the 1.57 inch height information from. He said once we establish the trays I need he will direct me to a vendor to supply them, apparently they do not sell to the public.
As far as the stringers go do you guys have them the full depth or just under the mounting fasteners?

One question I have is, if I get one the full width of the cargo area. How much can I actually slide it out? About 1/2 to total length or more?

Approx half way on each side. What you can't reach from the right side, you can reach from the left side.

It's a pretty good system, but is SEVERELY inferior to what I saw yesterday, when a guy pulled in next to me in a 40' Alpine Coach DP.

He stepped out, pressed a button and a whole HUGE drawer rolled out from the underside of the coach. These were not full pass thru as the outermost skin panel traveled right out with the drawer. He had four of these such "drawers", two on each side and all four powered.

I just about got physically ill from the EXTREME envy.

Yesterday I installed two MOR/RYDE CTG603690W Cargo Slides in the Pass Thru of my 2008 360 QS. I had questions about the true dimensions for these slides. I had contacted MOR/RYDE and they said the actual dimensions are what the part number states (i.e. 36" wide x 90" long), I ordered the two on blind faith and am happy to report that the dimensions were as specified. I attached them to 2 x 3's to obtain the height to clear the opening lip, they were placed so that one of them just clears the forward doors and the second one is separated by about 1 1/4”. This leaves me about 4 1/2" between the slide and the Fwd BHD and about 8 1/2" between the other slide and the Aft BHD. This is a great space for items like the Wheel Chocks and such. Also the 3" plus clearance space under the slides is being used to store flat items such as the folding tables and other little used things. The Lateral placement is about 2 1/2" from the lip on the curb side and about 5 1/2" form the street side lip, also great for storing some poles and broom/mop handles. I have to say I do not know how we spent ten years in various Motorhomes without these things. They slide in and out like Butter.
One last thing, I ordered them from a company called Radauto out of Plantation, FL. They were on sale with no freight charge, I am satisfied.

See post #10 on the first page of this forum, I listed all the components. And they are 36" x 90", like I said I ordered them on blind faith from the MOR/RYDE stated dimensions. Storage under the slides is great for my picnic tables and some flat socket sets, plus you can see the bottle jack and little used stuff in the rear wall 8 1/2" space.

I will be installing these Mor/Ryde Cargo Trays in my 390RB360, can you tell me the fasteners you used & were there any issues with the fasteners interfering with any tubing or such below the floor?

Any tips to aid in the installation would be greatly appreciated.

I first installed them to 2 x 3 sleepers which I painted black, for this I used 1 inch pan head self tapping screws, about 6 or so on each rail. Then I located the assembly's where I wanted them to be and secured them with 1/4-20 bolts, nuts, flats and locks. When I located them where I wanted I drilled thru for the 1/4-20 (5/16 drill) and did a counterbore to recess the head of the bolt along with the flat washer. I think the pictures show this.
