Steering wheel alignment

Does anyone else here have the steering wheel misaligned so that most of the time it is blocking the view of the speedometer?

Thanks,
Ken

Mine was cocked but not quite that bad. I crawled under with a couple of wrenches and tweaked the drag link until I got it centered.

Nope. I know there are many Golubski's in Arizona and Michigan.

In one of the posts here (it was a while ago and can't remember when it was) someone said that they went to Freightliner and told them about their misaligned steering wheel after they had Freightliner do a wheel alignment. They said that the tech went under the dash area by the steering column and that there is something that you can loosen, straighten the wheel, and then re-tighten. Not sure what exactly he loosened but the poster said it was a 5 minute job.

Thanks. Strange, I seem to remember reading that somewhere also. But not in this forum. I believe it may have been on IRV2.

Thanks for that reminder. I will look this weekend.

If nothing else pull the wheel and replace it straight. It is a simple job one nut.

I had the issue when freightliner changed my front air bags. The 2 techs took the coach in the interstate and pulled over at the next exit to correct the steering wheel alugnment by losening some thing on the steering column under the dash and corrected the alugnment. Everything fine since then.
