I have the coach step and the bolt holding the gear broke. FR had me call LCI and they are going to replace the step with a quikeee? step. They gave me a reference number for any dealer to use to replace the step.

A Quikee step has been around longer than Lipperts version and is better design. Now owned by Lippert. "If you ya can't beat'em buy em!

That bolt has almost face planted more than one Berkshire owner including me. I stepped out the door and the bolt snapped as my right foot was pushing off. The step folded in and I was very close to biting it. Be careful. The new design has a much needed beefed up part to replace the bolt.

Does anyone else swear that their step is opening and closing while driving in high wind conditions?

I don't believe mine have ever extended when driving.

Alright guys - don't get me started AGAIN !!! My stupid steps open when ever the heck they want to...

Was out last night here at home walking my dogs and heard something and guess what - stupid steps were opening and closing while coach was just sitting in driveway ....

Really am sick of them - love my. Berk but am not pleased that FR hasn't stepped up and replaced this piece of crap....

I don't blame you Ernest. Have you talked to Tandy lately about them.Someone commented that they just had theirs replaced.
