Stevie Wander--Newbie

We may have a newbie Berk owner after tomorrow July 9. Buddy of mine named Stevie is buying a Carmel Mocha, Sweet Baby Sugar, 2017.5 Berkshire XL 40B from Total Value in Elkhart. A long way from York, PA. to drive his 2016 Georgetown XL to trade in, but he got a great deal and likes the new diesel coach. Sandy and baby, Isabella (mini-springer spaniel, I think), likes it too. His Georgetown was a beautiful coach, nicknamed the Black Cloud.

This has been a super month for Stevie, he learned to fish and to drive a beautiful Berkshire XL.

On the way to IN he had to pass thorough those tiny gates to pay those blasted tolls on I-80 West. Drove the last 250 miles with only one driver side mirror, thank you. http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ies/crying.gif

But he made it. Now the Total Value Body Shop is licking their chops!

Good Luck Stevie, we hope you Sandy and Isabella join us soon. Can't wait to go "glamping" with you and the family, that is of course, if you are still talking to me.

Yes, tolls can be a challenge and sometimes leave very little room...... There sometimes is one lane that's wider though, to accommodate wide loads..... often on the far right. Look for it.

My hand is up:

I missed the pole, but I hit the utility trailer. Ouch! Three trips to the body shop to finally get the paint color right, and $750 out of pocket later, I was back on the road with only a few latent night mares.

I remember one of those nightmares where I hit a road sign after forgetting to close the front door awning. Wait a minute, that really happened!

We bought our 2018 Berkshire XL40B from TVRV in early May. Talk about long way from home, Spring TX we are from. Three trips in so far only 20 items on our FR list & 6 for the FRTLiner list. Pulling out next week for Boot Camp in Gaffney SC and some vistin along the way , some tourist stuff too before we get back home. Not much to offer at this early stage, just travel safe, enjoy gettin to where ever and do wear that new coach out with enjoying it!

Ohio turnpike toll booths are the worst. Initiated my (then new) Berk on inaugural trip at the westgate on Ohio TP.
