surge protector

ok iam new with a motor home,,,always had a 5 wheel so iam asking about a surge protector for my motor home...what ones is the best ? it will seems that I will be hooking up on 30 amp most of the time but some places I can have 50 amp,,
I have a 2014 360 ql
so all the help will be great

Purchased a Progressive 50 hard wired surge protector with remote for our Berkshire. They work with any amps, 30 or 50. Recommend you get a 50amp.

Match the amps to your RV. 50amp gets the 50amp protector.

The Progressive's are very good. I've got the 30amp EMS-PT30C, but you would want either the EMS-LCHW50, which is hard wired or the EMS-PT50C, which is portable. Both of those protect against much more than just surges.

I would get the hard wired unit if I owned a motorhome.

X6...... The Progressives protect against MUCH more than simple surges. For example, open neutral, which will put a full 220-240 volts into every one of your appliances. POOF, everything ruined.

Also, I would get the one that mounts inside, not the external one that hangs on the power pedestal. Less chance of it sprouting legs and sneaking off in the dark of the night. I mounted my own in less than an hour.
