swapping out 110v power receptical in 390bh

I am in the process of swa[[ing out the bedroom tv and adding in a bluray player in my 2012 390bh-60. After removing the factory TV, I found that it was plugged into a single receptical 110v outlet located between the outer wall and the back of the cabinet.

My question is as follows ...

Is there any reason at all why I could not or should not swap out this single receptical for a standard double receptical outlet. I plan to install the bluray player under the tv and would like all cords to be hidden ... rather than running the cord down the wall to the lower outlet.
