We will be at the same RV Park in Arcadia as CAT-RN (Russell) January 13-17. Hoping to go to the RV show on the 14th or 15th before it gets too busy.

Not sure what days I will be there, most likey the first public day before it gets extremely crowded.

Although I haven't done so for a few years, I believe you can dry camp there reasonably. I have done so in the past. Check their website.

The FCOC (Freightliner Chassis Owners Club) is having a rally at that time at the Fair Grounds so if you were thinking of getting a site there, you may have a problem.

Also from my experience you don't want to go the first day. Way busy and everyone is buying tickets. The second day most people have tickets already as the tickets are two day. We went the first public day last year and would not do it again.

The "on grounds" campsites at the fairgrounds are all sold out. They sold out in Sept.

Can't you just drive in on show day and camp out in a field. No elec, water or sewer. That what I thought Karen ?? It might be full too ??

If any of you guys or gals want to camp on the grounds and you are a member of IRV2, go to the Newmar section and ask if one of the Newmar owners would invite you along in their group. They reserve a large area for Newmar owners on the grounds, you don't need to own a Newmar to be in the group you just need a Newmar owner to sponsor you.

Just say you are interested in buying a Newmar.

Yes, you can drive to the show and take a chance that they will have a boondock spot that you can rent on the spot, but if they don't then you have to schlep around and try and find a camp spot somewhere. Too risky for me, I like to have a reservation ahead of time. (I also wanted to check out this "great" campground that Russell brags about all the time).
As far as IRV2..... No Thank You! Done with them!
