Tank heater question

I have a switch in my 08 Berk that is for a tank heater does anyone know what it controls? I know it's for tanks but which tanks? Does it heat the whole bay? Or is it just a mat heating the fresh water tank? Any help is appreciated beings I may not be headed to Florida till after Christmas. Jim

I was under the impression it was for all three tanks. They are just for the tank only, not the bay.

Depending on where you reside and the weather, the furnace (not heat pump) will do the job just fine. We have spent several days in our coach with night time temps into the low 20's and daytime temps above freezing with no issues and have not used the heaters.

Others have also installed a light in the compartment to keep things thawed out.

I have an 2008 Berkshire and yes the heat pads are on each tank. When on they are designed to cycle so tank temp will remain between 44 and 65 degrees F. One important note, Do not turn on if any tank is empty. Have liquid in each tank or damage will occur. The pads are at the manifold side of the wet bay.

Yes; well at least my tanks are. Shortly after purchasing I explored the area and found the heating pads glued to the tanks
