Tank monitoring system

Didn't want to continue this topic in the other thread. I was wondering for those of you that have upgraded your tank monitoring system to the SeeLevel ii, how did you get to the black and grey tank? Did you use the existing wires?

The fresh tank would be very easy sense the wires and sensors are right near the pump. But the black and grey sensors are on the manifold side and yes I can see them, but not sure how to actually get in there to mount the new strip sensor and wires. Any help would be great!

Thank you

Jason

I installed them on the same side as the water pump. Ran new wiring so I have both systems working. I find this helpful as the old system will read 1/3 full before the SEELEVEL begins to register due to tank slope. This way I truly know when my tanks are full.

I purchased a piece of 1 x 2 PVC trim at HomeDepot. Cut it the same length as the metal support and notched it where the sensor pads stick to the tank (did not want to damage them). Put holes in support in same place as old one and got longer bolts. For the hidden bolt on the right side I made a hock that slides over the frame member rather than struggle to get a bolt in. I used an L Bracket and bent it in a U shape around the support.

The PVC is necessary because the SEELevel instructions say that the metal will interfere with the sensor.

Yeah, I used some 1/8 inch pieces of rubber between the sensor and the existing metal support. According to SeeLevel CS that should be enough.

I wasn't aware that you could buy PVC stock like that, so I may do the same mod as you've done.

Thanks
