Tell me what it is?

2014 Berkshire 390BH-60

While trying to figure out how to put another cup holder in for the DW, I looked down where the lap-desk goes and spotted some wires I had never noticed. I followed them to a small fixture immediately beneath the fire extinguisher. It looks like the fixture is holding a fuse or small light bulb. If it is a light bulb, what switch runs it? I have never noticed it on before. If it is a fuse, what does it protect?

Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Fred

Is it one of the aisle lights? You should have a switch by the door I would guess.

There should be a switch labelled 'aisle light' by the foot well. Turn the switch on and see if the light goes on. Should also be a light near the gas detector.

Thanks Tom! I'll double check the aisle light! If still no go, I'll pull the bulb and check it.

Regards,
Fred

So I pulled the bulb and went to the local Auto Zone - no match. Went to the local Batteries and Bulbs - no match. Went to a local RV store - no match. Went to NAPA - no match. Went to PEP Boys - no match. Went to another RV dealer - no match. Went to my local Forest River dealer - they had to order it. This bulb will end up costing ~$25 in fuel!

But now I know there is an aisle light there!

Regards,
Fred

Fred,
You should also check your outside handle at night when it is dark. It may also light up when you put the aisle lights on.

Thanks Tom - I did that mod earlier this year and the handle lights up off the Aisle Light switch.

Fred

ZHOL-00242 is the part number on Amazon for the aisle light bulbs.
