Thank you FR Berkshire community

I just wanted to thank everyone and say hello as a new member of your community! I used this forum heavily as I explored our options buying a new coach. We sold our Heartland Cyclone this past fall after 5 "great" years of use and just took "partial" delivery of our new Berkshire this past weekend...

Partial because we signed the paper work and went through our delivery walk through and test drive but there are a couple of extra's we are having installed and they weren't quite complete. Our experience has gone fairly well and I look forward after our completed delivery to post on our full experience.

Thanks again for the great insight and the willingness of people to share!

All the very best,

Justin

Welcome. I also followed this forum extensively before I bought and was impressed with owners feelings about their Forest River products. This was actually a big reason for my purchase.

Which is interesting, in that there seem to be so FEW Berks on the road. Maybe they sell better in the eastern states, but since I've had mine (18 months) I've only seen two other ones out here in the wild and wooly west.

Tons of Monaco's, Tiffin's, Winnebago's and Fleetwood's though. Out of every five coaches I see, 4 will be one of those four brands.

Boowho??

I agree that I also see more of the other brands out there, but I can't necessarily say that one specific brand stands out more. When researching, my criteria was quality (owners seemed to generally feel the quality was good), factory support (always heard good things about warranty support and also instances of support after the warranty period. And especially good reports of resolving issues at Elkhart factory facility) and bang for the buck. For the money, especially with steep discounts available, I don't know of any other DP's out there that can match Forest River products feature for feature. It was this last fact that made me consider a DP over a gasser for the difference in money when moving up from a class c.

We agree-- after looking for awhile for a bunk house FR Berkshire's seem to pack the value. Still working through a few minor issues but are happy with the coach.

Have a wonderful time. The coach makes it so much more comfortable with kids and pets. When everything is working well it is nice!!

I'm just jumping in here. We currently have a 2007 Tiffin Zephyr but with three kids getting older (11, 9, 7) I have decided we need a bunkhouse. Was considering a Phaeton but saw some pics of the 400BH and am now anxious to see one in person. A dealer near us has one and I'm hoping I can get hubby to go look at it this week. I think the floorplan will be perfect for us. Sometimes my parents travel with us and our two big greyhounds also come along, so I need plenty of sleeping space for all those bodies. I'm glad to hear you like yours, and the other positive comments.
