The Adventure Begins

Eight more days until we head out for two months - but who's counting??? WE ARE!!!! Going nuts right now trying to make sure we pack everything we need, but if we end up forgetting something, there's always Walmart...

Got in coach yesterday to pack stuff and it was 104 degrees inside - AC on and wait 30 minutes was my solution...

Really hope we see some of you folks out there... Enjoy talking on these forums BUT would love to have some face-to-face time with all of you...

I hope you and your family have a great time on you adventure. I'm glad I read your post it reminded me to make our reservations for the night before we leave for Goshen, that way everything will be cooled down.

Wife and I realized that this will be the first trip we will have ever taken with just the two of us.... Always had our fantastic grandsons along for all our earlier trips... Really will miss having them along but they are now older and have other interests....

Good Luck and Happy Trails Ernest -- we are 2-ish years away from being able to do that as well

And...like the others have said...

I hope you report in while on the road.
I think I'm going to some of the same areas you are.

Trust me, you'll quickly get used to not having the additional responsibility of making sure the urchins are entertained and happy.

I sit at night and watch (when I'm not at a 55+ park) a rig pull in to a spot and out tumble several balls-of-energy whom are struggling from being on the road for several hours; and about to burst with energy.

Then I say to myself..... "Boowho, you've got it pretty damn good"!!!

Boowho??

Keep us posted on your travels. And plenty of pics. I just wish I had my grand kids closer to take with me. We like to travel but better half prefers only 2 weeks at a time.. I'd settle for at least 4 weeks. Even tho we are retired I just enjoy going when I can and for ever how long I can. Later RJD

That's great Ernest! The wife and I started full timing on June 1st and it wasn't until the 21st that we are finally on our own. Fantastic!!!

Gottawonder...

Thanks for the offer, BUT we moved to Woodville, TX March 1 and I'm afraid that's a little far for you to travel.... We've about got things covered - will load clothes, food, freezers, etc next couple of days and hook up Mini Cooper Wednesday evening and we should be ready for an early Thursday departure...

Are you going to make FMCA and/or Goshen this year??

Ah, I didn't know you were long gone. Still wanna fish with you this fall. Definitely won't make Goshen this year, but I'll send you a picture during that rally and you'll understand why. Haven't looked at FMCA yet, but probably not.

Yell at me if you're in the neighborhood!

We've got to get on the road so I can get some REST.... This "getting ready" is killing me.... Spent over four hours mowing, weed-eating, etc.... Then packed all the frozen food we have "pre-cooked" and then clothes.... I'm worn out...
