Thetford macerator systems

Anyone out there using one of these systems on your Berk? I measured and the 90 degree twist on system won't fit. Anyone know if the tank buddy direct (portable) or stationary mount systems will work/fit.

I installed one that is permatly mounted inside the water bay. I had to make some modifications to make it fit but it was well worth it and would do it again. I will snap some pictures this week when I am at the storage lot. The system I installed was called clean bump RV Macerator Pump & RV Waste Disposal Accessories

Hey thanks. I would appreciate some pics. The more I think about this type of system, the more it makes sense,

I have this unit.

Thetford Sani-Con Box Mount System w/Gray Water Bypass - $361.89

I had Camping World do the install. When looking into that compartment the unit is install one the right. They had to notch a small portion of the back board to get the unit to fit it, but it looks nice and have never had any issues. We have been using it for over three years now.

Ok so I needed a project. Ordered all separate components to put together my own sewer / waste pump system. Pictures will follow, probably over the weekend.

Lol, well just figured one way or the other I have to deal with the emptying of the tank situation. I have a clean out for the septic about 40' from where I could park the coach. 50' of 1" hose is a lot more manageable than 50 0f 3". Plus it'll give me another switch to operate .

Well started the install this was the easy part. The wiring of it still needs some engineering. Sure would be nice if FR left a provision for some 12V power in that space. Mounted the pump to a piece of azek, and then the azek to the wet bay. Going to go with a double 45* with a short section of hose right to the pump. Bought most of the stuff from Amazon and a run to H.D. Ordered a 45* and a 90* was going to use the 90* but (2) 45*'s will work out better. So had to order another 45*. Oh yeah, I also rolled the fitting on the coach on a 45* angle.

Here a picture of the one I installed about 3 years ago. I removed the white wood panel and then trimmed around it with aluminum to support the drain pipe. It works well because the hose can now be stored back behind the water panel and I did not have access to that area before. Click image for larger version

I understand the concept...
It pumps your poop.
When or why would this be needed?

Not being a smart azz. Just learning.

I'm sort of new at this but for me I thought it would just give me the flexibility to pump up hill to empty if I ever had to. I also have a clean out about 50-60' from where I can park at home so that much 1" hose seemed to be way easier to store than the same length in 3" size.

CSI, not sure if that's the same pump that I'm using but by chance did you take it apart and turn the discharge 180* to come out that way ? Cause I ran into the problem where it was pointing towards the middle of the coach . Tried to see if you could rotate that discharge piece and saw more negatives from people than someone yeah no problem. Which is the reason I mounted mine on the back partition rather than to the floor. Just curious.

Oh here's another question . Where did you get your power from for the pump ?

No the pump came that way with the discharge you might want to look into removing the small white panel that is behind your pump. You can use that space for storage for you hose. For the power I just ran my wires straight from the battery with an inline fuse. The only problem I have with the system is I have to go outside to dump I am thinking about putting a second switch in the bathroom to turn on the pump to dump the gray water since I have three female in the family

You might also want to put a ball vale at the end it makes it a lot cleaner for hooch up and disconnect. I will take a picture of what I have because mine will screw into most dump station so you don't have to use the rubber donut.
