The problem with that report is that it doesn't report what happens after years on an RV. I did not replace the tires on my 2008 because of treadwear, it was from sidewall cracking. I had Kenda tires on a 5th wheel that came apart at 4 years old, no sidewall crack, it was tread separation. All 5 tires were bad, plenty of tread, just separating from the carcass. Kenda representative basically said oh, well. I saw other reports of similar failure from Kenda.

I gotta think most RVers age out of tires before we run the tread bald. The Michelins I just took off were 2009 OEMs. You're right, I'd like to see some dry-rot rating. I do not know if my Firestone tires will be as robust. I did buy covers for the new tires, but I also hear it's important not to let them sit in the same position for long periods.

My OEM Michelins lasted 6 years, but I was worried about them for the last one. I think 5 years is probably a good expectation for longevity.
