Tires

I'm going to be replacing my Michelin tires on my 08 Berk and was wondering if anyone has switched out their Michelin with another brand of tires. Currently I'm using 255/80R 22.5. Jim

I'd move up to a 275/70R/22.5. Increases load capacity a bit. May have to have your speedometer calibrated though.

I also changed to 275/70s. The speedo difference is about 1 mph at highway speeds. No need to recalibrate. I got firestones, and they are higher ply, allow a top speed of 75mph, improved the ride of the coach significantly, and were $400 each.

I had new tires installed today switched from Michelins that just sat and dry rot. I put 275/70R/22.5 on for about half the cost of Michelins. Surprising they aren't much different in size. I also had them put in I believe it's called "equal" it's powder that keeps the tires balanced while driving. A lot of truckers use it. Jim

I went to 275/70, stayed with Michelin on the FMCA plan, speedo is closer to GPS speed than original tires, I think I lost 1 MPG fuel economy, but got a much better ride and handling. Hope the hotrocks do well for you. Safe travels.

The Herc tires are sold at good prices but Chinese made tires make me nervous.
