Tom,

You are too kind!!! Now my day is almost complete. I just need to fill up the other 17.75 hours that I'm up. If there is a hum, maybe I will be able to sleep an extra hour or so, but first I need to stay awake and listen for the potential humming. What time does it usually happen? I need to prepare myself for the task. I may even need to set the alarm. ;-) LOL.

Getting mine changed out tomorrow. Can you hear the humming inside the MH? Maybe we will get lucky and get a non-humming one.

....still waiting for dealer to get parts in and change it out. Speaking of hums....when I am plugged in on shore power I can hear a high pitch hum from the battery compartment. Sounds like a charger fan or something. Any ideas? I took a quick look but can't seem to place it. It's not the battery isolation device, so don't know. You guys experience this?

Craig,
Hey, just happy that I can help in some small way!

Speedmerchant:
are you hearing the hum from the inverter? The inverter is usually near the battery compartment and will hum when charging the batteries or inverting power from the batteries from 12v to 120v.

No3putt,
haven't been in the bedroom after the change over to the new inverter so can't really tell. I will try to listen today to see if I can hear it inside.

tmmar, doesnt seem like sound is coming from that compartment at all with the inverter. It's from the battery compartment. Unless the noise is being projected in their from the inverter. But to touch there is no electrical vibration....

no3putt,
Can't seem to hear the hum inside the coach. Of course, it isn't in the middle of the night when I am trying to sleep!! LOL!

Got ours replaced this morning, when testing it at CW didn't hear any hum. Guess may have gotten lucky and got a non-humming one. Got it replaced at CW becuase my FR dealer just kept putting me off.

Had ours replaced then spent a week in the coach. Did not hear a thing, I am a light sleeper and the transfer-switch is under the beadroom area.
