Turning off automatic thread subscriptions

Edit by site team: This off-topic and subsequent posts were moved into their own thread, so as not to hijack the thread they were posted in. Since it is a valid and useful question concerning forum usage, it was left as to help others who may not be aware.

We love the layout and the room!

Seriously?
I don't recognize that model? Is that a Berkshire motorhome? After all this is the Forest River Berkshire Forum!

HAHA yeah, once you "answer" a post, you are automagically subscribed to the thread by default (I wish FRF would make this a option like other forums do Hint Hint )

Anyway DTraband, if you look down below your posting window you will see several checkboxes, and a dropdown menu that will allow you to control how future posts/replies to your post are handled by the forum.

Hope this helps

And for those of us that tend to subscribe to threads have the option to unselect particular threads if need be.

To turn off automatic thread subscriptions, where you won't receive notifications of when a reply is posted to a thread you have previously participated in, go to your user cp.

Now under "setting and Options", select "Edit Options".

Scroll down to "messages and notifications" and using the dropdown box for "default thread subscription mode"....choose the option best suited for you.

FYI,' Do Not Subscribe' option....turns them all off.

NOW- Make sure you scroll ALL the way to the bottom now of the page, and select "save changes". If you don't save the changes, it won't do anything.
