TV Sound Question

My 2012 Berk can play dolby 5-1 through the five speakers when playing a DVD. When watching TV, I can use the built-in TV speakers or set the DVD unit to A/V and get TV sound out of the front home theater speakers.

My question is to those with newer motorhomes and newer DVD amplifiers, are you able to get TV sound out of both the front pair of speakers and rear pair as well? If you can, what is the model of your DVD unit?

It would certainly be nice when the rain is beating on the roof to get more speakers working,

I've got a '14 and only have a couple of speakers up front, not connected to TV. I added a Polk surround bar/sub to the cheap RCA that came with the coach

My TV is mid-ship. For a DVD movie, I get sound from all six speakers, like it should do (Left front, Center front, Right front, Left rear, Right rear and sub-woofer.

When using the DVD unit for TV sound (not using the TV speakers), I get sound from the front two speakers. I would like a DVD unit that would also provide the TV sound to the rear two speakers over the driver and passenger seat.

I-RV it could be that the TV source is only delivering stereo sound, which will only come out on two speakers. What is the source of content on the TV? CG coax? SAT? OTA HD?

How is the source for the TV content connected to the DVD box? HDMI, Composite audio (red and white RCA), coax, Fiber optic, HD Composite (orange RCA)?

If you're watching SD (Standard Definition) content on the TV from coax or even the SAT if connected with composite audio (red and white RCA) then you are only getting a stereo signal, which means you have 2 channels, left and right. You have to make sure that the content is carrying a 5.1 signal or you will only get the two speakers.
