Regardless if you have a Mercedes or Cummins, oil sampling is always a good idea.

If you look back several years, you will see pushers built with Detroits, Cummins, etc. Cummins pretty much has dominated the market for RV engines in the last couple of years.

Glad to hear the Mercedes is serving you well.

Mine just left the Cummins dealer for a PM service. Oil & fuel, air filters and lube the chassis $496. Also included install the new jack pad that I supplied.

I have tried Speedco once and it was ok, luckily I carry spare filters with me as they did not have all of them. The cost then was around $300.

Cummins is 10 miles from the house and I have never had any issues with their work.

But you need to add all that together plus tax. That is just over $200. But $35. Isn't all Labor I think but hey if you can do it that's Great.

crazy good deal earnest917.

i just paid $350 to freightliner northwest (in spokane) for their service b package... that's the oil filter, air filter, both fuel filters, oil, inspection all around, and chassis lube. this is my 4th year of ownership and i did the oil and fuel filters all the other times. just figure i get an official inspection this time around.

i had to pay the hourly rate for them to pull the wheels off to inspect the brakes and the hubs... that one hurt the wallet...

next service, i'm back to doing it myself for about the same price you got for someone else doing it. my oil change is super fast. i have one of those EZValves on. just a quick flip of the switch and it drains. flip it off and it's closed. great for using smaller containers when i don't have the large 5 gallon container empty and ready.
