Unusual Valve Stem Core

I have a bent valve stem core on one of the tires on my 2008 Berkshire 360QS. The core itself looks like any other near the top, but the bottom has a long (3 1/4") piece of metal attached. It looks as if the extra protrusion is designed to actuate another internal core. It had the guys at the tire shop scratching their heads - they had never seen one. Bottom line: I need another one just like it, but not bent. What is it called and where can I find one?

Where are you located, I would be willing to guess that a Truck Stop with a Tire Service Center or a tire dealer who specializes in commercial tires would have what you need.

FWIW: I had a bad valve stem on my National Pacifica motor home. I called roadside assistance who sent out a commercial tire repair truck, to replace the stem it cost me $125.

Thanks for the suggestion johrjen... but 'been there, done' that with no luck. Neither Speedco in Little Rock nor the Petro truck stop tire center were able to help. In fact I just returned from a useless trek of about 40 miles to Camping World (closed on Sunday) and Petro when I posted the note. Thought I'd better do it while the frustration level was high lest I forget - again.

It looks like a typical valve extension. I had to replace one on my inner rear tire. I was able to get one from NAPA for about 10 bucks. NAPA has them in all different lengths They had to order it but got it the next day. I hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks, Mmnsc. Autozone was clueless when I tried there so I thought it might be something specific to RVing. I'll track down a NAPA store in the area and give them a try.

FWIW - NAPA is "Turbo Recommended" so that should help.

I have seen them they are in valve stem extenders. I don't like the extenders they are to prone to leak. I would get rid of the extenders IMO!

To wrap up this thread: found the extenders at a tire shop in Ft. Smith, AR before departing for TX. Tire pressure remained constant during the trip after replacement. One problem solved. Thanks for all the suggestions and help!
