Rich I had lots of problems with Gen l. They put a Gen ll in and that was better. The problem with the Gen ll was parts and switches kept failing. So the Atwood has been in for 2-3 months and it works great. Plenty of hot water. One big draw back if the Atwood is the temp control is outside. So any adjustment requires the removal of the cover. Not a huge deal. I can mix hit and cold water but it's still going to trip the high temp switch if not enough water if going through the WH. I believe the Gen lll mixes hot and cold better from the reviews.
Bottom line is the Atwood us a huge improvement over the Gen ll.

Rich, I think I might have the gen II in my 2014. When we first started using it one of the wise souls on this forum, not Phil57, told me how to adjust the heater. With the shower on full hot adjust the knob in the medicine cabinet until the hot water is comfortable. I found that this had to be done frequently due to the outside ambient temperature swings probably 10-15. Give that a try.

Oh man that hurts...ok I'm over it. I think that everyone with builds after 2012 should have a Gen ll. The Gen l did not have the adjustable BTU output in side the Moho. If you have an adjustment you have a Gen ll. I will now shut up so the wise ones can interject their wise words on us.

Well lah di dah!! See Phil, you are not the only one who can make useful suggestions.
That was me that posted about setting the hot water to a temp that you don't need to mix in any cold water to make it comfortable. Works fine that way for me!

Rich if you get a chance have someone turn the adjustment up and down while you watch the flame. I had a problem with mine and had to replace something to make it work. I don't remember what part it was. Also once that chamber gets hot it takes a bit to cool off.
