Tn mar - Could be, not sure. I thought on electric slides you just disengaged the motor and pushed them in but I may be wrong. I think all hydraulic systems use the same tool, though. Worth checking. Thanks.
As I mentioned in previous note, no mobile rv repair was available. I called a hydraulic specialist with a mobile service. This guy was fantastic. The ram needed to be repaired. Local Berk dealer said that repair not an option and part would need to be ordered from the States. Would miss this trip leaving tonight's as well as the one to eastern US on the 12th. This guy diagnoses problem in less than 2 minutes. The hardest part wast removing the fully extended and seezed ram from the RV. He told me that the seals were shot and that he would fix it by cutting end off and rewelding.
When he cut off the end he found the following. One seal completely Shedd ed and a second badly damaged. Inside of tube was damaged and ram rod itself still has masking tape on it from.when the part was painted. It is likely the tape going back and forth thru the seals that caused them to fail.
He machined the rod, made a new tube, replaced seals and reeled the end. The unit was installed in my rv and everything works like a charm.
This fellow was from South Africa and worn repairing drilling rigs in the Alberta oil fields. Building hydraulics from.scratch is common place for him.
Thank God for for old school trades people.
Total cost of repair was 1080 CDN. Not bad when you think it was mobile service. From the time he left his shop cam to house removed ram returned to shop to rebuild and then return to my home for install was about 5 hours.
Glad you got it fixed! The mobile repair guys are great when they know what they are doing. I had a similar deal with a broken trailer spindle years ago on a Sunday on the way to Lake Powell and a mobile welder saved the day. I offered the guy a tip and he refused to take it. He said that's what he does. Pretty cool.

You were very lucky to find a guy like that who was able to do what he did to rebuild the ram. Most repair guys just 'remove and replace' the part. They remove the old part and stick in a new one.

Glad you got it all worked out. Thumbs up to the oil field guy. We do find a way to get things fixed. Never say it can't be done to oil field workers, we'll prove you wrong every time.
