Valve stem

Ok guys I kinda feel stupid posting this but for the life of me I cannot figure out this type of valve stem on my two front tires. I googled it but cannot even find a picture of it online. It has what looks like threads on it but I cannot screw anything on it.


Somebody has got to know or at least seen one like this.

It is an Acuride Valve.

That looks like it or at least close to it. Now how do I screw my TST sensor to it?

The part I have dimensioned in yellow, appears to just just be a metal screw on extension cap to the valve stem itself. Hard to really tell for sure from the angle of the pic, but that what most caps are of the type you are describing.

If you do not have room to screw on the tpms sensor to the end of the extension cap, due to not having enough room between the rim flange and bud (red dimension), then you should be able to unscrew the metal cap (yellow) and screw on a longer extension cap, that will extend it outwards more to give the room to screw on the tpms sensor to the end of it.

Something doesn't look right, as it almost seems like I'm looking at a brake hub. Can you take some more pics, zoomed out, and also more to the left, looking straight down the valve stem? Thanks

Thanks wm, I'll try to unscrew the end. If that doesn't work I'll get more pics up.

WM, they were caps on the stems. I was able to take them off and the sensors screwed right on. No extensions needed either. Thanks for the advice and info.
