Boo you've got that right. But it does seem more, here anyway, like the single unit versus the tow separate units.

More research to come.

We just returned (yesterday) from a month-long trip with two teen-aged boys.... Up until this trip, we had never used our brand new vented washer/dryer.... It got a tremendous work-out... It was fantastic... We learned to start a load and go do "fun stuff" When we returned load was finished.... We like the all-in-one unit because we use the space above it for much needed storage when you're out for extended periods....

Thanks EJM4! The ventless is the one I want!

I had a 'ventless' Splendide setup too. It had a small plastic box on the side of the unit which was supposed to trap lint an allow the dryer exhaust out. It definitely increased the interior heat/humidity and dust levels. I had a hole cut in the wall for normal venting and it was wonderful from there on.

I can't speak for the model you had, but mine is the newest 7100 model and there is no plastic box on the side.

Attached is the link for the manual for any reference and to dispel the humidity myths. :-)

Pros and cons to both

A vented dryer robs valuable heated or cooled air from the coach and the ventless takes an extra 5 gallons of cool water to condense the steam back into water in the drying cycle.
Either way they are a great addition to any coach or FW
