Washer / Dryer vibration

We have recently purchased a 390bh with an all on one washer dryer. I know from using one of these units in our old MH that they give off a tremendous amount of vibration when they are in the spin dry portion of the wash cycle.

Has anyone has this same experience? Has it caused any structural or cosmetic damage to the unit? How can the vibration be minimised?

We have a 390BH with the washer/dryer combo as well. We used it a number of times this past summer and the vibrations weren't too bad at all. No structural damage anywhere (although it's only been a year).

We used ours pretty extensively and did not notice anything excessive with vibration. The only real unique feature from our standpoint is that it takes a long time to do a load of clothes, but that's all we noticed.

For a brief time we had a Eurotech combination in the S&B. The vibrations in the 1200 rpm spin cycle were bad enough to shake pictures off the wall in the adjacent bedroom and to loosen some of the drywall nails. A 6.2 earthquake we went through did less damage.

I was going to build a shock-absoring pedestal for the stupid thing, but we got a trade with our local appliance store on a new conventional top loader washer and matching dryer.

What I was planning was to have a 3/4" plywood panel that fastened to the laundry room floor, and then a set of six 2" long springs tied to the panel on the floor and to an identical panel at the other end of the springs. The washer/drier would have sat on the upper plywood panel. I figured a bit of experimentation with spring sriffness and maybe some simple damping would have kept the vibration within the support structure and not transmitted very much of it into the house. Fortunately, I never had to try it. We got so fed up of the incredibly long drying cycles with just a 115V heater, we bagged the whole thing. Four bath towels would take about 8 hours to dry.

Interestingly, the Splendide appliances we've seen at CW look just like that turkey except for the nameplates!
