Thanks Phil, how would I find out if my filter filters all incoming water? Is there a plumbing schematic I'm able to access?

Nathan drain your water filter then hook up to city water. If the filter fills up you are filtering incoming water. I suspect you are as well as filtering water you add to the tank.
