Water heater cover
Just wondering if anyone else has lost the cover from their tankless hot water heater. I pulled into the campground and another camper pointed out to me that the cover was hanging. I was lucky that it didn't fall off...it was just hanging there ready to go. I'm wondering if I need to do something to keep the latch piece from moving and opening up.

I know Ernest replaced his, but I believe he hit something as a result of a ice storm.

I smashed mine against a brick color and had to totally replace it.... I've never had one come off all by itself...... I'm not familiar with how a tankless heater cover attaches so can't offer any advice abt how to attach it.....

I haven't lost it yet, but I have noticed how easy it would be to do on the tankless cover.
So, I always make sure that I have it on properly. I think the trick is making sure the bottom posts are aligned and in the holes.
It might even get out of whack so that it might not hold properly, so would not be surprised to find it missing.

It would be an expensive loss, considering that it would need to be repainted to match.

$189.00 for paint only..... I know because I had to buy three different colors to paint my new door..... Luckily I was able to do the prep and painting myself so I saved a bunch there.....

I've had MH's for well over forty years and have never had the latch on my WH break... I never really pull on the piece that sticks through the door. I just turn it so it's lined up with the slot on the door and remove the door....

It was cheaper to replace it with SS hardware than to purchase a new one. On my WH the roller thats inside the handle came off and thats when i decided to fix it permanently.
