Water Pump Compartment Door

We have a 2014 Berkshire 360QL. The door to the water pump compartment is an upward swinging door that is locked with a couple of latches that use a pin to keep the latch locked. Some how the part of the hinge attached to the door was broken off. Has anyone replaced those hinge locks with something more substantial and at the same time possible include a way to hold the door up in an open position. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and ideas.

Thanks

tmmar, thanks for the tip. It gives me help knowing there is a way to keep the door up without the help of a piece of wood.

No

oldkeywest91, thanks for the idea but one piece of the latch was torn off possibly by a road cone that was hit and may have gone under the rig taking the piece with it. Gone forever. I am now thinking I might be able to purchase the locks that are installed on the generator handle and fuse boxes compartment. It has two locks with finger gripes.

Richard,
Below is a link to some door latches that you may be able to use.

cudnthere.

Thanks. Looks like I could use two from McMaster-Carr. They even have what looks like the ones I have as original equipment. Thanks again.

draw latch

Draw Latch
These are called a draw latch and below are two sites that may carry what you need. When I picked up my Berkshire one was broken on the compartment tha contains the water pump, the dealer ordered one and replaced it for me. I'm not sure who he ordered from but I'll bet Forest River will send you one if you ask.
